Production efficiency expert Gemba Solutions is pleased to announce a technical partnership with world-wide signal technology specialist Werma.
Combining the two company’s respective expertise in helping manufacturing companies to maximize efficiency, the first output of this collaboration is a simple solution for the remote, wireless monitoring and reporting of machine efficiency.
This entry level Andon solution utilizes Werma-manufactured signal towers to collect and transmit machine production data. The data is automatically fed in to Gemba’s market-leading production efficiency software, and allows users to produce reports detailing machine availability, downtime and performance, product quality and OEE information.
As Werma utilizes wireless technology to transmit the data, the result is a solution that is extremely cost-effective to install. A wireless device is added to each signal tower, and data is transmitted to a small master unit connected to a PC. Gemba’s powerful production efficiency software provides you with a real-time view on the efficiency of your machines, and a host of historical graphical reports. By clicking on areas of the graphs, you can drill down into this data to find out where your problem areas and production bottlenecks lie, decide on changes to your process and then check your summary reports to ensure that your results have improved—no data is ever lost.
Current users of Werma KS70 and KS71, and also Siemens 8WD43 and 8WD44 signal towers can retrofit this solution to their existing hardware, accessing accurate and powerful production data for minimal cost.
